Hey everyone, I'm considering upgrading my graphics card from a Radeon RX580 4GB to an RX6600 8GB. I'm not an expert on this stuff, so I'd really appreciate any insights. Here are my current specs:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 (6-core)
- Current GPU: Radeon RX580 4GB
- Motherboard: Asus A320 Prime
- PSU: Thermaltake Smart 500W
- RAM: 16GB DDR4
- Case: Thermaltake Versa N21 ATX
I bought this PC pre-built a few years back, and my biggest concern is whether my power supply can handle it. Thanks in advance for your advice!

Check out some deals on other cards, too! Newegg has some sweet offers, like the RX 9060 XT. You might even get a gift card with it to upgrade your PSU down the line. Just make sure your current PSU is reliable.
I think the RX6600 would be a solid upgrade for your setup! As for your power supply, 500W should be fine since the RX6600 has a lower power draw—it only needs one 8-pin connector. You're good to go!
Totally agree! Plus, it’s nice to see you looking to upgrade. The RX6600 will give you a nice boost in performance.
Yeah, I've been using a similar setup with a 500W PSU and it works great! You shouldn't have any issues.
