I'm considering upgrading my CPU, motherboard, and RAM from the Ryzen 5800X3D to the 9800X3D. I play games in ultrawide 3440x1440 resolution. Could anyone share how much of an FPS increase I might expect? What's the average percentage in improvement across different games?

From what I recall, the 5800X3D should be more than capable of supporting the RTX 5070 Ti, especially at 3440x1440. The benefits would likely be more noticeable in CPU-heavy games.
It really depends on the games you're playing. If you're using DLSS at native resolution, the difference might be small. But with DLSS enabled and depending on your quality settings, you could see a decent boost.
I usually play with ultra settings, and I enable RT and DLSS in performance mode.
At that resolution with high settings, you might not see much difference at all. If you're gaming on ultra settings and using RT and DLSS, it could just be negligible.
Thanks for confirming! I stick to ultra settings with RT and moderate DLSS on.
The performance difference can be moderate in some titles while others might show no improvement at all. Plus, with RAM prices being what they are, it might not be worth the upgrade right now.
Thank you for the insight!

I typically enjoy single-player games like Alan Wake 2, but I also play a lot of VR games with the UEVR injector for a native-like experience.
