I've been dusting off my old PC for some gaming, but the performance isn't cutting it for modern games. My current specs are a Ryzen 5 2600 CPU, a GTX 1060 GPU, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and a B350 Tomahawk motherboard. I'm considering an upgrade to the RTX 5060 for about 340€, but the 5060 Ti with 16GB is a bit too pricey at 480€. Since I don't game excessively, should I just go for the GPU upgrade, or will my CPU or other components hold me back?

Your CPU is likely going to bottleneck a high-end GPU. It might be a good idea to at least update your BIOS and consider a Ryzen 5600 to see a real performance boost.
If your GPU usage is hitting 99% in games, then yeah, upgrading your GPU will help. But if it’s below 90%, a CPU upgrade will likely give you more performance. It's worth monitoring both components.
Honestly, just upgrading the GPU might not cut it with a Ryzen 5 2600. If you can swing it, consider pairing a new GPU like the 6700XT with a Ryzen 5600 for solid 1080p performance. That's a great combo for gamers on a budget.
What about the 5060 compared to the 3060? Would the 5060 still be a better choice for the price?
