I'm currently using a Ryzen 5 5500 and I'm considering getting a 9060XT GPU to run games at 1440p. I've done some research and it looks like my 5500 might bottleneck the GPU a bit. What would be a good CPU upgrade that doesn't break the bank?

It’s tough to give advice without knowing your current GPU setup, but upgrading to something like a 5700X3D or 5800X3D could be your best bet for around $200. Those will definitely give you a noticeable performance boost over the 5500. If you’re up for a bigger investment, switching to the AM5 platform with a 7600 and a B650 motherboard will cost more, close to $400, but it may be worth it long-term if you're looking to future-proof your system.
Thanks for the tip! I just checked out the 7600, and though I’ll need to wait a bit longer to save up for it, it definitely looks worth it.
