Hey everyone! I used to have 64GB of RAM (4x16GB) but one of those sticks failed. I'm considering upgrading to 96GB by getting 2x32GB modules. My current setup includes a Ryzen 9 3900XT, a Gigabyte 450M motherboard, and a mix of Kingston RAM sticks. The failed stick was newer, and I suspect mixing different kits might have caused issues, especially since I had trouble getting all the sticks to run at 3200MHz instead of 2666MHz. I'm curious if adding new 32GB sticks is a solid choice and if I just had bad luck with the faulty one. Thanks for any advice!

Mixing RAM sizes, brands, and timings can lead to performance issues, so it's not the best idea! You might end up facing stability problems or not being able to reach your desired speeds. It's usually better to go with a matched set of RAM sticks for optimal performance.

Ah, got it! Guess I need to rethink my upgrade plan. Thanks for the heads-up!
