I'm on a tight budget and considering the AOC CQ32G4VE 32" monitor, which is currently on sale for about $180. However, I only have $300-$400 left for personal expenses this month. I'm really tired of my games appearing blurry or fuzzy at 1080p, and I'm hoping that upgrading to 1440p will improve the clarity. Is it really worth making the upgrade?

While 1080p shouldn't look blurry, a 32" screen does make it a bit harder to maintain clarity. The difference between 1080p and 1440p is noticeable, but it can vary depending on your setup. Can your hardware handle that resolution?
Honestly, I'd focus on essentials first. It's probably best to save some money and wait until next month to make the purchase. You don't want to stretch your finances too thin right now.
If 1080p looks blurry, simply upgrading to a higher resolution might not fix the problem; it could even accentuate it. You might want to adjust some settings instead.
With a 32" display, it may not look significantly sharper at 1440p. Maybe try some sharpening settings in the NVIDIA control panel before deciding. If you've got budget concerns, hold off for now.
Definitely worth the upgrade if you're getting a bigger monitor. Just be aware that you might see a performance drop, so what GPU are you using?
I have an RTX 4060Ti. I mainly play older games like TF2, but I dabble in some newer titles as well.

I get that! I mean when I say personal use, I do mean for recreation, but I always try to manage my budget for essentials too.
