Hey everyone! I'm currently using a Ryzen 5 5600X and I'm considering upgrading to a Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5070 Ti. I'm aware that there might be some bottlenecking, but I'm hoping it won't be too significant at 1440p with high settings. In the next 2-3 years, I plan to switch to AM5 and DDR5 with a better CPU. For now, I'm curious if the 5070 Ti would be a sensible upgrade.
Here's a look at my current setup:
- CPU cooler: SilentiumPC Fera 5 120mm
- RAM: GOODRAM 32GB (2x16GB) 3200MHz CL16 IRDM X Black
- Case: SilentiumPC Signum SG1 TG
- PSU: SilentiumPC Vero M3 700W 80 Plus Bronze
- Motherboard: Gigabyte B450 AORUS ELITE V2 (Socket AM4)
- SSD: Crucial 500GB SATA SSD MX500
- SSD: Samsung 4TB M.2 NVMe 990 EVO PLUS
- Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
- Graphics card: NVIDIA Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3060 GAMING OC LHR 12GB GDDR6
I'm also thinking of getting a be quiet! Pure Power 13 M 1000W PSU since I want it to be future-proof. Also planning to switch my case to an Endorfy Arx 700 ARGB.
Does this upgrade make sense? Are there any compatibility issues with my parts?

It's a bit tricky! Your current AM4 setup isn't exactly future-proof since you're thinking about upgrading to AM5 later on. A 1000W PSU seems overkill for this system, especially since a good quality 850W should handle everything nicely. But if you're planning on upgrading later, getting a solid PSU now might not be a bad idea.

Totally get the future-proofing angle! But don't forget that you might not fully utilize the 5070 Ti with the 5600X, since it's already a bottleneck for those higher-end GPUs.
