Is Upgrading to a 5070 Ti Worth It for Playing Arc Raiders?

Hey everyone! I'm thinking about upgrading my PC to hit at least 144fps at 1440p while playing Arc Raiders on medium settings. Right now, I'm only getting about 70-90fps on low settings. My current setup includes a 2080 Super GPU, an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X CPU, a Gigabyte x570 Auros Elite motherboard, and 32GB of Corsair Vengeance RAM. I believe the GPU is the main bottleneck at the moment. So, I'm wondering if moving to a 5070 Ti or a similar GPU would be a good step without having to replace my entire build. Would this upgrade help, or should I consider a whole new rig? Thanks for any advice!

Upgrading to the 5070 Ti will definitely boost your performance significantly. Just keep in mind that your CPU might hold you back a bit. Upgrading that in the future would be a good idea, but in the meantime, you'll see a nice improvement with just the GPU swap.

Thanks for the insight! Do you think a simple GPU upgrade alone could get me close to 144fps on low settings?

If you can find a 5070 Ti, I'd say go for it! It's one of the top choices right now. Having your GPU as the bottleneck isn't ideal, but it gives you room for affordable upgrades later. You won’t regret getting that card!

Definitely go for the 5070 Ti or the 9070 XT, and consider pairing it with a 5700X3D. It’ll enhance your experience quite a bit!

I upgraded my setup recently and went for a 5800X3D with a 7900XTX, and it’s been a game changer. Just make sure to update your BIOS to support the newer CPUs if you go that route. You should be in a good spot without needing to break the bank!

With a 5070 Ti and a Ryzen 7 9700X, I get over 160 fps at 1440p ultra settings in Arc Raiders. However, the game is quite CPU intensive, so your current CPU may prevent you from reaching those numbers right away. If prices are too high, consider sticking to your current setup until you can upgrade more affordably.

I'd suggest getting a 5700X and keeping your 2080 Super for now. You might see over 100fps like that. Just check that your XMP is enabled, and see if you’re using a single RAM stick as that can also impact performance.

You might want to consider upgrading to at least a 5600X CPU along with the 5070 Ti or even a 9070 XT. This combo should give you a smoother experience, but be mindful that some upscaling or lowering settings may still be necessary to hit your target performance. Selling your old parts can also help finance the upgrades!
