Is upgrading to a 5070Ti feasible without changing my other components?

I currently have a Ryzen 7 5800x, an RTX 3070, and 16 GB of RAM. I'm planning to upgrade my GPU to a 5070Ti. I've thought about adding more RAM too, but since I upgraded my CPU about a year ago, I'd rather not change that again. I mostly game at 1440p and I'm wondering if upgrading just the GPU is overkill without simultaneous CPU upgrades. What do you think?

Yes, you should be fine with that setup! While there might be some bottlenecks, your 5800x won't hold back the 5070Ti significantly. Do keep an eye on your PSU though—aim for at least 650W with a dedicated 12-pin connector.

For sure, upgrading to the 5070Ti will give you a nice performance boost! As for RAM, if you have 2x8GB sticks, I'd recommend grabbing 2x16GB sticks to avoid mixing and ensure compatibility. Going to 32GB would be a good move, especially for future-proofing!

Absolutely, you can upgrade to the 5070Ti without changing your CPU. It might not achieve 100% optimal performance due to potential bottlenecking, but your 5800x is a solid CPU that should handle most gaming scenarios at 1440p quite well. Just make sure your PSU is up to the task!

I just did the same upgrade, switching to a 5070Ti with my 5800x, and it runs great! Definitely consider bumping your RAM to at least 32GB if you can find a good deal on it—it's not strictly necessary, but it'll help in the long run.
