Is Upgrading to a 5800X3D Worth It for Better FPS in BF6?

I've recently upgraded my graphics card from a 1660 Super to a 4060 Ti, but I'm getting around 50 FPS in the BF6 beta on medium settings, which is pretty disappointing. After doing some research, I suspect my Ryzen 5 3600 CPU might be bottlenecking the GPU's performance. I'm considering whether upgrading to a 5800X3D is a good move. Is this CPU really worth it, or will it be overkill for my needs? I found one for $300 new.

Absolutely! Players reported that moving from the 3600 to the 5800X3D fixed their bottleneck issues in BF2042, so I would expect similar results in BF6 as well.

Honestly, I’d lean towards the 5700X3D instead, but the 5800X3D isn’t a bad choice if you can snag it for a good price.

The 5800X3D would definitely be a solid upgrade! Many users have noted that it really helps eliminate bottleneck issues. Just be sure that's what you really want since $300 is pretty standard for a new one.

Keep in mind that you can find AM5 motherboard and CPU bundles for around $350. $300 for the 5800X3D might not be the best long-term investment with that option available.
