Is Upgrading to a 5800X3D Worth It for Gaming?

I'm currently running an i5-12600K setup with 32GB of DDR4 RAM and an RX 9070 XT, which has been pretty solid overall. I have a second machine with a Biostar B550T motherboard, a 6700 XT, 16GB of RAM, and a 5600G that I'm thinking about selling. However, since my girlfriend's GPU just died, I'm giving her the 6700 XT. This leaves me with a PC that doesn't hold much value anymore, and I'm considering a used 5800X3D, which I found for under 150€. The benchmarks suggest it's a decent upgrade for gaming, and I can reuse the RAM and other components. I'm mainly interested in how much it would boost my gaming experience, particularly in Helldivers 2, which is my favorite game right now. Is it worth the upgrade?

If you can grab the 5800X3D for that price, it's a solid choice! The performance gains can vary by game—some titles will give you an obvious boost in 1% lows, while CPU-heavy games will really shine with the extra power.

Yeah, RimWorld really pushes my i5 sometimes, especially with a bunch of pawns and all that chaos! The framerates can dip when things get crazy.
