Is Upgrading to a Ryzen 5 5800XT Worth It for My Setup?

I've recently picked up an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080, but I'm noticing a bit of a bottleneck with my current setup. I didn't upgrade to an AM5 build last year and I'm not looking to switch to AM5 anytime soon due to the high RAM prices. So, I'm planning to stay with my existing AM4 system for now. Here are my current specs: a Noctua NH-D15S cooler, Antec DF800 case, RTX 5080 with 16GB of VRAM, a 2TB WD HDD, three monitors (27" QHD and two 24" FHD), an Asus B550-plus board, a 1000W PSU, a Ryzen 5 5600X CPU, and 32GB of Corsair DDR4 RAM along with a 1TB WD Black SN770 SSD. Would upgrading to a Ryzen 5 5800XT make a significant difference?

In my opinion, going for a 5700X3D or 5800X3D could make a slight difference, but anything lower won't really help. It's a pretty minimal upgrade overall.

If you're looking for an improvement, maybe consider the 5500X3D instead. But honestly, the 5800XT won't give you much of a change for gaming.

If you really want better performance, the 5700X3D or 5800X3D are solid choices. Those chips pack a punch and could help get you the gains you're looking for.

I'd recommend holding off on that upgrade. The performance gains for gaming just aren’t worth the expense at this point. Better to save up for a more substantial upgrade later.

Upgrading to the 5800XT won't really boost your gaming performance much. I'd suggest just playing your games and see how your current setup performs before making any decisions.
