I'm currently using a Ryzen 5 5600 with an RX 6700XT for my gaming setups, mainly focused on competitive games and some single-player titles. I've come across a Ryzen 7 5700X for about 120€ ($137), and I'm wondering if I should go for this upgrade or just stick with my current setup. I know the AM5 platform might be the best route eventually, but that's out of my budget at the moment.

Upgrading from a 5600 to a 5700X isn't really going to make a noticeable difference in gaming. Most Ryzen 5000 CPUs perform within a small margin, around 2%, so unless you're going for the 5700X3D, I would recommend sticking with your current CPU.
Honestly, I don’t think it's worth it. The performance increase from a 5600 to a 5700X is minimal and won’t really impact your gaming experience significantly. If you’re looking for a real upgrade, saving for the 5700X3D might be better.
Depending on what games you're playing, you might see anywhere from 0% to 6% improvement, but again, that's not much to write home about. I'd just save up for the 5700X3D if you're aiming for a noticeable upgrade.
Exactly! For most games, you'll hardly notice a difference at all.
