Hey everyone! I've recently made a lot of upgrades to my gaming system, but I'm still not completely satisfied with the performance. Here's what I currently have:
- RX 9070XT
- R5 7600
- 32GB RAM
- 1TB SSD
I'm considering upgrading to an R7 7800X3D, but I'm curious if the price difference is justified. I play a mixture of games like Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, GTA, Fortnite, Cyberpunk, and Dying Light, among others. My main goal is to achieve higher FPS in games like COD and Fortnite. Right now, my monitor supports 165Hz, but I'm planning to upgrade to a 360Hz QD OLED monitor on Black Friday. However, my PC is struggling to reach 165 FPS in Fortnite as it is. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

If you're not hitting 165 FPS now, maybe it’s not just about the CPU. What resolution are you playing at? Since you didn't mention it, that info could change things. At 1440p, the RX 9070XT really should be fine for most games, so consider that too!
Hey, your current rig should handle those games pretty well at 1440p. If you’re not getting the FPS you want, it could also be due to settings or background processes. But yeah, the R7 7800X3D could help boost things significantly! Definitely keep that in mind.
Check out performance reviews for a fuller picture. But generally, that CPU upgrade should help, especially since Fortnite can be CPU-heavy. Just make sure to balance your other parts as well!
You might want to check the benchmark comparisons to get a clearer picture of the upgrade benefits. I came across some useful performance data that can help you decide if it's worth it. Just take a look at what the R7 7800X3D can offer compared to your current setup; you might be surprised!
