I'm considering upgrading my GTX 1070 8GB to an RTX 3060 Rev 2 12GB, and I'm curious if you think this is a good move. I'm looking for a noticeable performance boost without breaking the bank. I think that's a fair upgrade! I recently stepped up from a 1060 to a 4060 and it's been working great for me. You should see some nice improvements, especially if you're gaming at higher settings.
Just so you know, $355 is a bit steep for a card that's over 4 years old. If your CPU is decent, maybe consider other options like an Intel B580 for around $265 on Amazon. You might want to wait for reviews of the upcoming RTX 5060 too.
I was thinking about up to $400, but I can snag the 3060 for $355.
