Is Upgrading to an RTX 5060 Worth It for My Setup?

I'm considering an upgrade to an RTX 5060 for my prebuilt Dell PC, but I'm unsure if my current setup can support it. My specs are as follows: CPU is an Intel Core i7-10700, motherboard is PCIe 3.0, I have 16 GB of DDR4 RAM, and I'm currently using an RTX 2060 Super. Any advice on whether I should go for the upgrade or if I need to change anything else?

The magic eight ball says.... maybe! 😂 It really depends on whether your current games are running well. If they are, you may not need to rush into upgrading. But if you're hitting some limits with newer titles, then it could be time to consider the switch!

If you're only using an RTX 2060, you might see a decent performance bump, but you should also consider whether you'll actually need the extra power for your current games. If you're not hitting any limits now, waiting for a more significant upgrade might be smarter. How are you liking the current performance?

I just picked up a 5060 to boost my 1660 Super, and honestly, it feels like a solid upgrade for me. I think the performance difference is noticeable, especially if you're gaming at higher resolutions. Just make sure your PSU can handle the new card!

Honestly, if your current GPU is the RTX 2060 Super, upgrading to the RTX 5060 might not be necessary. It really depends on what games you're playing and whether you're hitting performance issues. If you're running modern titles smoothly, you might want to save your cash for a bigger upgrade later on. But if you're having issues with new games, it could be worth considering.

Gotcha! I'm really just worried about future-proofing. Do you think my current setup will hold up for a while longer?

Definitely! With that CPU and RAM, you're in a good spot for now. Just keep an eye on new releases!
