Is Upgrading to an RX 9070 a Good Move with My R7 5700x?

I currently have an R7 5700x paired with a 1080p 180hz monitor. Since getting the CPU, I've been eager to boost my frame rates. The RX 9070 non-XT is available at a decent price, and I'm curious if upgrading is worth it. I mainly play Marvel Rivals now, but I'm planning to dive into some AAA titles after upgrading. Should I make the jump without worrying about bottlenecks?

Bottleneck is a buzzword! There's always some form of it. Unless your CPU is really out of date, upgrading your GPU will almost always lead to better performance. So, you should see some improvements!

Right? I’m considering whether I should just go for a 5060 Ti or maybe even the RX 9060 XT instead. Thoughts?

Yes, there will be some bottlenecking at 1080p with that setup, but you should still notice a significant performance boost compared to your current GPU. It's a solid upgrade!

That's interesting! I'm on an RTX 3060 right now, and while it's decent, I'm looking to push my settings higher too.

Why not think about getting a 1440p monitor? Marvel Rivals looks amazing at that resolution, and it might be worth the investment as part of your upgrade!

I'd love to, but I don't have a 1440p monitor at the moment. Just stuck with 1080p for now.
