Is Upgrading to Faster RAM Worth the Extra Cost?

I'm looking to purchase RAM and I've come across a 32GB 6000MHz CL30 option that's €45 more expensive than a similar 32GB 6000MHz CL36. Is the extra latency of CL30 significant enough to justify the cost?

You should also consider your motherboard. Do you know which model you have? It could help to check the QVL to see what frequencies it supports. The speed and latency do matter, but the price difference is significant.

No, I don't think it's really worth it. From what I've read, you're only looking at a 1-3% performance gain with the lower latency RAM.

Yes, depending on your use case, that extra CL30 could be beneficial, but only slightly. Make sure you weigh the cost against the expected performance. What are you primarily using your PC for?

Honestly, that price jump is pretty steep for a minor improvement. The latency difference isn’t going to make a huge impact in most scenarios. I'd say it’s not worth it unless you have very specific needs.

If you're looking for a future-proof setup, going for a 64GB kit instead of four sticks could be a better bet. You might want to sell your old RAM to help offset costs!
