Is Upgrading to Windows 11 Worth It for Battery Life on My Laptop?

Hey everyone! With Windows 10 support ending soon, I'm thinking about upgrading my Thinkpad E14 (1st generation) to Windows 11. Right now, my laptop only gives me about two hours of battery life with normal use. I'm curious—if I upgrade to Windows 11, will it hurt my battery life and performance, or could it actually improve them a bit?

Just a heads up, even though Windows 10 stops getting security updates after October 14, it doesn't mean your laptop will suddenly act different. It's going to run just like it always has. Plus, battery life mostly depends on how you're using the laptop, not just the OS. So, no rush to upgrade!

Honestly, I think the battery life should stay pretty much the same after upgrading to Windows 11. If you're looking for a boost in battery performance, you might consider switching to Linux Mint instead. I've heard people say they went from about 3 hours on Windows 11 to 8 hours on Linux Mint!

Interesting! But what about performance for gaming with Windows 11? I need to make sure I can still game a bit.
