I'm facing some connectivity issues with my OVH VPS in Belgium (Local Zone) where it can't connect to any external mail ports, like SMTP on port 587. I also have another VPS in France (regular zone) that works just fine. I tested connecting to different mail servers but it just hangs when I try. Curious if anyone else with a Local Zone VPS is experiencing this? I've confirmed that my firewall settings are correct and that the issue seems to be limited to outgoing connections on mail ports. Any thoughts?

Have you checked if you’re using public or LAN IP addresses? Sometimes that can make a difference in connectivity. Just to be sure, can your VPSs ping each other without any issue? Also, if other ports are functioning fine like 80 or 588, it does seem odd that just the mail ports are blocked.
I think your problem might be due to OVH blocking email ports by default to prevent spam. It’s not unusual for providers to have these kinds of restrictions in place. You might want to reach out to their support team to specifically ask about it. They tend to have a policy for unblocking these ports but it may require a direct request from you.
Yeah, I've told them multiple times, but they always close my ticket without a solid answer. It’s really frustrating since it feels like something specific to the Local Zone.

Good point! I’m using all public IPs and I can ping them without issues. It’s just those mail ports that are acting weird.
