My friend connected his Xbox to the router using a patch cable, and everything was working perfectly. But after he turned off the WiFi, the Xbox stopped connecting to the DHCP server. We've tried various solutions but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions?

I think the issue happened when the WiFi was disabled. Try factory resetting the router; this can often fix connection problems. After resetting, make sure you reconfigure the settings to enable the DHCP server, so the Xbox can connect again.
Your Xbox needs to receive its IP address and other network settings from the DHCP server on the router. If the router's DHCP service is disabled or the WiFi is turned off, the Xbox can't connect properly. Make sure the router is powered on and not in bypass mode. It might also help to check the router settings or restart it.
