Issues Running Programs as Administrator on My Laptop

I've been having a problem with my laptop since I got it in September. It seems like I can only open applications if I run them as an administrator, but even then I'm struggling to access most files. For instance, I finally managed to get Ableton on my laptop, but I can't authorize it because I'm receiving an error (0cx0000022) when I try to open the necessary files. I am the admin on the computer and have followed various troubleshooting steps I found online, but nothing seems to work, and I'm feeling really stuck now.

You might want to back up any important files and then do a clean reinstallation of Windows. That usually fixes major permission issues like the one you're experiencing.

Try going to Settings > System > Recovery. Look for the option to Reset the PC and select "Remove everything." You can then choose whether to do a cloud download or a local reinstall.

Have you tried creating another admin account? Sometimes it helps to see if the issue persists on a different user account.

I noticed your post is a bit vague. What kind of laptop do you have? Are you using Windows? It would help to know exactly what happens when you try to run specific programs.
