I've been hearing about some issues with the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, especially when paired with ASRock motherboards. There are reports of systems not booting and CPUs becoming unresponsive, which seems to affect a lot of ASRock boards. Apparently, AMD and ASRock have acknowledged some memory compatibility problems in earlier BIOS versions and have released updates to address them. I'm thinking of building a new rig with a 9800X3D and an ASRock motherboard, but I'm a bit hesitant due to these reports. Has anyone else faced similar issues? Did updating the BIOS help? Would it be better to choose a different motherboard brand? I'd love to hear your thoughts or experiences!

I have a B850 Riptide WiFi motherboard with my 9800X3D, and it's been running great since early April! No boot issues at all.
I have the X570 Steel Legend with the 9800X3D, and it’s been working fine since February. If I had to do it again, I'd probably steer clear of ASRock, though. Some boards are still experiencing problems even after the BIOS updates.
Thanks for the heads up! Definitely considering other brands now.
I've heard a lot of good things about the B850 too. Is it really worth it?
