Issues with Dual Monitors at 144Hz on My 9060 XT

Hey guys, I just got my hands on the 9060 XT and it was running smoothly until today when my computer started freezing up completely. The RGB lights stay on, but the screen goes frozen, and I have to use the power button to turn the PC off. I noticed in Adrenaline that my GPU memory utilization was at 2500MHz and the VRAM clock was also hitting around 2500MHz – and that's while the system is idle! I've tried a bunch of things: reseating the GPU and RAM, using DDU to reinstall the drivers, doing a BIOS update, and even checking the system memory.

Then I thought I'd try something simpler and disabled HDR, which dropped both clocks down to about 1500MHz. When I set my monitors to 60Hz instead of the usual 144Hz, the clocks dropped below 100MHz at idle! It's really frustrating because I upgraded from a 5000 series and I expected much better. Now, I'm worried about gaming performance. If anyone has suggestions, I'm all ears because I'm really losing my patience with this! Here are my specs for reference:

- **GPU:** ASRock Steel Legend Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB
- **CPU:** Intel Core i5-10600KF
- **RAM:** Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 3200MHz C16
- **Motherboard:** TUF Gaming 856OM-PLUS WIFI
- **PSU:** MWE Gold 850v2 Fully Modular
- **SSD:** Seagate FireCuda 510 SSD ZP500GM30021 (500GB)

It’s actually pretty normal for the VRAM clock to increase with monitor refresh rates. Your crashing issue at high refresh rates could be due to a number of factors. Have you tried disabling ULPS (Ultra Low Power State)? Sometimes issues like this can also stem from the cables you're using, whether it's DisplayPort or HDMI. If all else fails, RMA the card and see if the new one behaves better. If it does the same, then the problem is likely somewhere else in your setup.

I tried disabling ULPS and still no luck. It's so frustrating! I've played around with so many settings and nothing seems to work. I appreciate the suggestions though!

It sounds like you might have a faulty card. If you've tried pretty much everything and it's still acting up, RMA it and get a replacement. It could save you a ton of headaches!
