Issues with Global Admin Permissions in Exchange Admin Center – What Could Be Wrong?

I've recently set up a new tenant (about two weeks old) and during my security hardening process for migration from hosted Exchange, I noticed a significant issue. All Global Admin accounts, even those assigned Exchange Admin roles, have lost access to various parts of the Exchange Admin Center. This issue persists even for newly created admin accounts.

Here's what's happening:
1. The Migration tab is completely gone, and trying to access it directly results in a blank page.
2. I'm encountering permission issues for common tasks like 'Manage hide from GAL', which are showing insufficient permissions.

I had previously opened a support ticket to enable Internal Relay for a domain migration that I'm preparing for, but I haven't received any help from Support on that yet. Could their intervention have caused these permission issues? I'm routing through a post I found from February about these permissions being stripped down, but I'm really at a loss here. Any advice?

It’s strange that everything else seems fine. If your roles are active, maybe a sanity check on the role assignments could help? Try reviewing the role groups to confirm that your Global Admin accounts are still correctly configured. Sometimes, small changes can cause big hiccups.

First off, make sure that all the necessary roles are active. It sounds like you might have accidentally locked yourself out of certain functionalities in your tenant. Verify the permissions of your Global Admin accounts; you might have overlooked something critical during your setup.
