Hey folks, I have a Samsung 8 Series 43" TV (Model UE43TU8005K) that I've been dealing with for a while now. Right from the start, I noticed the screen brightness was really dim, even on the highest settings. I went to the store where I bought it and they checked it out, saying everything was fine. Recently, I started seeing these annoying white halos all over the screen (I'll try to share a pic in the comments). Unfortunately, the warranty has expired, but I suspect there's been a problem with the TV since I got it. I don't use this TV often since it's not in my main home, but I'm looking for any advice on how to fix these issues. Thanks!

Those white halos might indicate some internal issues, possibly related to the motherboard. Have you thought about reaching out to Samsung support for further assistance? They might have specific fixes or recommendations for your model.
It sounds like the backlight settings might be the culprit here. Make sure to check your backlight settings specifically (not just brightness), as they control how bright the LEDs are. Sometimes 'brightness' in the settings can actually refer to shadow detail instead. If you don’t see a backlight option, it could be a different term in your TV settings. Just a thought!

Thanks for the tip! I didn't realize backlight was separate from brightness. I’ll look into that and see if I can adjust it.
