LG TV Won’t Connect to Wi-Fi with Password—What Can I Do?

Hey folks! I'm having trouble with my LG TV (model 70un7070pua). It won't connect to my Wi-Fi when there's a password on it. However, it connects fine if I turn off the password through my eero settings. Am I stuck leaving my Wi-Fi open, or is there a way to make it work with a password? When I attempt to connect to the secured Wi-Fi, I get an error that says 'Unable to connect to the network. Reason: Could not establish a connection to access point. Please check the status and try again.' Any advice would be appreciated!

It sounds like the issue might be related to the Wi-Fi security settings. If your network is set to WPA3, try switching it to WPA2, as some devices, especially older ones, may struggle with WPA3. Check your router's settings and see if you can adjust that.

I totally get your frustration! If you’re using the eero app, it can be tricky since you can disable WPA3 but might not find a direct option for forcing WPA2. It might be worth checking if there's a firmware update for your eero system that improves compatibility with older devices.
