I'm having a major issue with my school-issued iPad (7th generation). While my account was supposed to be taken off management, the device still insists my account is managed and restricts my access. The school IT department told me they don't manage it anymore and I'm not on their list. Now, I can't log into my iCloud, which has all my important projects. It's asking me to contact the administrator for a password reset, but the school can't help me because they don't have access to my account. Is there any way to recover my account and get my files back, or am I totally out of luck? Thanks for any advice!

First off, have you checked if your iPad is enrolled in Apple Business Manager? Sometimes it can still be linked there. Also, try accessing your iCloud account from a different device or via the website at iCloud.com. Just make sure you’re entering the right information, as the iPad might be a bit buggy due to its management claims.
Your best bet would be to reach out to the school's IT again. They might have more options once they investigate further. If they truly cannot help, you could try contacting Apple Support directly; they may have tools to help you verify your account status. It's a tough situation, but don't lose hope!
