Hey everyone! Last December, my dad gifted me a killer new PC after he couldn't use his vacation days. I went from a GTX 750 to an RTX 4070 Super and an i7 14700KF, and I'm super grateful! But I'm still using my old 1080p 60Hz monitor. With some birthday cash and my allowance, I'm finally looking to upgrade to a 1440p monitor, ideally one that can do 120Hz or more. Also, is 12GB of VRAM enough for 1440p gaming, or does it matter if I go a bit over that limit in some games? I know turning down textures a notch makes a difference without affecting quality too much. Sorry if this isn't the right place for this question!

The M27Q (x) and the old Samsung G6 are solid picks, though I might be a bit behind on the latest models.
I have a 1440p ultrawide with my 4070 Super and everything runs smoothly. You might want to check out the Cooler Master GM2711S, it's affordable and has great specs for gaming!
I recently bought an Acer Nitro 5 27” monitor that runs at 1440p and 180Hz for just around $140. It’s not the most high-end monitor, but it gets the job done really well. Definitely a great value if you're on a budget!
I snagged a Gigabyte GS32Q for $199. It’s 165Hz but can overclock to 170Hz. Plus, it has HDR for better visuals in movies and games! Your VRAM shouldn’t hold you back from getting a good monitor.
12GB VRAM is generally fine for now, only heavier games push beyond that. You won't really notice the difference between high and ultra settings these days, so you're good! The Gigabyte M27QA and MSI MAG 275QF are worth checking out; both are well-reviewed and 180Hz!
Check out the Koorui monitor I got recently. It's been great and is also very budget-friendly. Excellent value for money!
I've been using the LG 27GL850 for the past 4 years, and it’s been great! Though, there could be newer models out that are even better.

Acer monitors are solid! I grabbed one last year and it’s been fantastic.
