I'm a dad trying to help my son, who's been saving his allowance and Christmas money for a gaming PC. I'm looking for a solid build that fits within the $800 to $1000 budget for just the tower. I'm not really familiar with gaming PC specifications, so any detailed spec sheets or advice would be super helpful. Thanks in advance!

You might want to check out the build recommendations from sites like PCPartPicker. They can give you lists of parts along with compatibility info. Just make sure to consider that DDR5 is pretty awesome if you can fit it in your budget—it's really making a difference in performance!
Also, don't forget to mention where you're located, since pricing can really vary. Just so you know, a lot of folks in the US are building great rigs these days!
We're in the USA. Thanks for the tip!

Totally agree! DDR5 is the way to go if you can swing it, but even with DDR4, you can still create a great gaming experience.
