Looking for a Compact Mini Tower Case with an Optical Drive

I'm helping a friend build a PC. He doesn't really want a gaming rig but wouldn't mind something that can handle some casual gaming. His main needs are using Microsoft Office, surfing the web, and storing photos. Additionally, he insists on having a DVD drive included, and he wants the new build to be around the same size as his old Dell Optiplex 755. While I've shown him several small form factor prebuilt PCs, he really wants a mini tower with an internal optical drive. Does anyone know of any mini tower cases that would fit these requirements?

You might want to look at the Cooler Master N200. It's a solid choice for a mini tower case that supports an optical drive.

Thanks! I'll take a look at that option; it seems promising!

Why not just swap out the components in his Optiplex for newer ones? It could save you some hassle and still keep the same size.

I hadn't thought of that! I'll check into it, but I'm a bit worried because I know a lot of older Dell PCs use proprietary parts.

Finding a compact case with an optical drive can be tricky. I've used the Fractal Pop Mini, which, while still quite spacious, has two optical drive bays. If you're open to older models, the Fractal Core 500 and Silverstone Sugo SG11 both accommodate optical drives as well. If you can get a slim optical drive, it'll really broaden your options. Check out Intertech cases too — they might have something that works for you.

That’s exactly why I posted! I've been struggling to find suitable options. I'll definitely look into those suggestions.
