Looking for a Feature-Rich Sticky Notes App on Linux

Hey everyone! I made the switch to Linux Mint about a month ago, and overall things have been good, but I've run into a snag. As a writer, I used to rely on a sticky notes app called Stickies on Windows 10, which was perfect for me. It had all the features I wanted: customizable fonts, colors, sizes, tables, themes, transparency, and more. I used it alongside LibreOffice and my browser for jotting down notes and keeping my conlang dictionary handy without switching windows too often.

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find a suitable alternative on Linux. I've tried various apps like Joplin, Obsidian, Logseq, and a few others, but they don't offer the same flexibility. If you have recommendations for sticky notes apps with robust features, I would really appreciate it! I promise to reward you with a gold star emoji for your help!

If you're struggling to find a suitable app, consider these alternatives:
1. Try using Wine to run Stickies on Linux; it’s worth testing out.
2. If you have access to a Windows machine, you could run Stickies there and remote into it if necessary.
3. Search GitHub for lesser-known apps that meet your needs; some gems are there, waiting to be found!

Zhorn Software suggests you can run Stickies on Linux via Wine. You can check out their site for more info: [Zhorn Support](https://www.zhornsoftware.co.uk/support/kb.pl?q=00081). It might make your life a little easier!

It sounds like you’re looking for something that really matches your previous setup! You could try running the Stickies app through Wine or Proton. It might not work perfectly, but it’s worth a shot!

I tried that yesterday, and it didn't work. But I gave it another go just now, and it's kinda working! The settings are still a no-go, but at least I'm making progress. Thanks for the tip!

I use Obsidian myself, and it has tons of formatting options, templates, and plugins. Maybe it can be tweaked further to suit your needs? Let me know what specific features you're missing from there.

Just out of curiosity, why do you need all those features for simple note-taking? Most people don’t require that level of customization for notes, so it might be tough to find something that fits.

I'm a total aesthetics freak! I can’t deal with sticky notes that look terrible or only allow basic formatting. My documents in LibreOffice are super styled, and I need my sticky notes to match that vibe!
