Hey everyone! I'm currently using an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card along with an Intel Core i7-7700K processor, 64GB of RAM, and have a mix of SSD and HDD storage. I got this computer as a gift and I'm pretty new to all of this. I'm thinking about upgrading my graphics card, but I also want to know if my CPU needs replacing too. I'm looking to keep my budget around $600, but I'm flexible up to $800 if necessary. Any recommendations on what graphics card I should get? Also, if I need to replace the CPU, what should I know? Thanks in advance!

If you're thinking about a total system upgrade, you might want to upgrade your CPU too. This will mean replacing a good portion of your setup, but it can really enhance gaming and performance. Given your budget, the Ryzen 9600x plus a new motherboard along with 32GB of DDR5 RAM and an AMD 9060 XT GPU could be a good investment. It should keep you in the game for a while without breaking the bank.
What games are you looking to play, and what resolution do you usually game at? If you're mostly in MOBAs like Smite 2 and have some issues with ARK and Rust, getting a solid upgrade is key. Aim for either the Intel Arc B580 or the AMD RX 9060XT 16GB, or the Nvidia RTX 5060Ti 16GB if you can swing it, but also consider how they match up with your monitor's capabilities.
Thanks for the insights! What kind of performance can I expect with that setup? Also, do you have any suggestions for easy installation guides? This will be my first upgrade and I'm a bit nervous about the whole process!
