Hey everyone! I'm gearing up to build my very first PC, and I want to focus on getting the best performance possible within a budget of $750 to $950. Looks like I'll be using it primarily for gaming, but I have some schoolwork to do as well. I'm not worried about how it looks; I just want solid performance.
I've got access to Amazon Prime, Best Buy, Walmart, and Sam's Club, and I can even make a trip to Microcenter if needed, though it's about 1-2 hours away. I'll also consider buying parts online through Newegg or eBay.
Currently, I have a Logitech G502 Hero mouse, a 27" FHD curved gaming monitor, and some old keyboards. I also have some Bluetooth headphones.
With July 4th and Prime Day sales coming up, I'm hoping to make the most of it! If anyone has recommendations for a complete build or suggestions to tweak my current build from PCPartPicker, I'd really appreciate it. I just want something that won't lead to future issues, so I'm okay spending a little extra if it means better longevity. Thanks!

You might want to check out the Andromeda insights site for some budget gaming PC options. They seem to have some solid deals that might fit your performance needs! Here's a link to one of their builds: https://andromedainsights.com/products/ultimate-budget-gaming-pc?variant=46647258218722. Just make sure you're looking for parts to build rather than a prebuilt system, since you mentioned you want to build it yourself!
Yeah, it sounds like OP wants to build, not buy a prebuilt. Still, good find on the link!
You could also dive into some guides in r/buildapcforme; they’ve got a load of helpful advice and suggestions for custom builds. Perfect for your budget and needs!
I noticed some pinned comments that could give you a great start, too!
Thanks for the suggestion! I'll check it out for sure.
