Looking for a Linux Distro With a Windows-Like Interface and Pinch-Zoom Support

I'm currently using Mint with the Cinnamon desktop environment, and while it's great for my needs, it lacks pinch-to-zoom functionality in browsers. I've learned that distros using X11 don't support this feature. I didn't like Gnome's interface, so I'm really after a distro that has an interface similar to Windows 11. Can anyone suggest a good Linux distribution that meets these criteria?

To fix the pinch zoom issue, check out this guide on Super User: [Pinch to Zoom Guide](https://superuser.com/questions/1914179/how-do-i-get-touchpad-pinch-to-zoom-to-work-in-browsers-on-x11). If you're looking for a Windows 11 theme on Linux Mint, you can find a helpful video here: [Windows 11 Theme](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XDDnC3WRWGk).

KDE Plasma is the way to go! ZorinOS is another solid option. Generally, the specific distro doesn’t make much of a difference unless you're working with the command line, as most desktop environments have good GUI tools.

The real issue is more about the desktop environment than the distro. Touch support is built into the kernel, but Cinnamon doesn't take full advantage of it. KDE Plasma, however, does. You can install it on Mint, but you might face some issues. It could be simpler to switch to a distro that has KDE pre-installed, like Fedora KDE, Kubuntu, or Debian.

I recommend going for Fedora KDE. If you still want Cinnamon, there's a Cinnamon spin available too.

If that spin allows pinch zoom to work (not just the magnifier), I'd love to know how!

You should definitely check out KDE Plasma! Most major distributions offer KDE versions, like Kubuntu, Debian, and Fedora. They should work well for you based on your needs for support and stability.

KDE does support touch screens! Not sure about LXQt, but since it's in the same family, it might too. Lubuntu is great for laptops because it has excellent hardware support, so that might be a good one to try first. If that doesn't work out, Fedora with KDE should be solid.
