Hey everyone, I'm feeling let down by Linux Mint's limited support for Wayland. I'm in search of an Ubuntu-based distro that offers a similar level of user-friendliness and includes some basic tools. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance!

You might want to try Fedora KDE. It's not based on Debian or Ubuntu, but it has great Wayland support. Just be prepared to use dnf instead of apt, and you’ll find it to be a better overall experience with modern desktop features.

I agree, DNF is really close to APT in function. Once you get used to it, you'll find it has more power and flexibility!

If you're open to something beyond Debian-based distros, consider Fedora or Arch Linux. They offer a more current desktop experience with frequent updates, but be prepared for a bit more upfront setup!

Kubuntu is a solid alternative. It’s user-friendly and has a good interface, definitely worth checking out!

Don’t forget to look at Pop!_OS 24.04. Just keep in mind that the COSMIC DE is still in development, but it's promising!

KDE Neon is another great option. I really enjoy it for its stability and features.

Fedora KDE is pretty much like any Debian-based distro in terms of functionality. Plus, DNF handles package management quite well and can be an upgrade over APT in many ways.
