Looking for a Stable Point Release Distro with Yearly Updates

I'm on the hunt for a point release Linux distro that offers a yearly update schedule. I currently use Debian, but the two-year upgrade cycle is a bit much for my laptop. I prefer to have more up-to-date NVIDIA drivers. I've tried Fedora, but its six-month release cycle comes with too many updates, and I've faced system issues due to that. What I really want is a distribution that focuses on security updates after its release without all the extra feature updates. Any suggestions?

Have you thought about using Ubuntu? That could be a solid choice for you with its release model.
