Looking for Advice on a Budget Gaming PC Build

I'm getting ready to build my first gaming PC, and I'm not looking for anything super powerful. I'm mostly interested in how to improve my current setup, which includes a B550 motherboard, Ryzen 5 3600 processor, 1070 Ti graphics card, and 16GB of DDR4 RAM. I'm aiming to play indie games and would like to achieve at least 60 fps at 720p. While I don't have a strict budget, I prefer to keep costs low, potentially up to $800-1000 if needed for future upgrades like switching to a B650 motherboard and DDR5 RAM. Any suggestions or feedback would be greatly appreciated!

For indie games and light gaming, your current build should serve you well as is. However, if you're looking to optimize, consider a newer GPU like those mentioned previously for better performance. Also, setting a budget helps narrow down options to what's actually feasible for you. Anything above $1000 just for an indie gaming rig might be overkill unless you're planning on playing more demanding titles in the future!

You might want to start with a rough budget to help guide your choices. Based on what you've got, a Ryzen 5 3600 and a 1070 Ti was a solid mix a while back, but today you could look at a Ryzen 5 5600 paired with an RX 6600 for a tighter budget build. If you're considering AM5, a Ryzen 5 9600X with an RX 9060 XT could be a great choice for future-proofing! Just make sure to set a budget first so you can focus your options more.

Yeah, I hear you! Your current setup seems to cost around $500. If you're willing to spend between $800-1000 for that bit of wiggle room, you can definitely upgrade without going overboard!
