Hey folks,
My gaming rig is starting to feel pretty outdated. I'm currently using an Intel i5-4570 3.2 GHz processor with 16 GB of DDR3 RAM and a GTX 1070 Ti. It does the job for playing The Last of Us Part 1 at 1080p, but I'm experiencing frame drops to around 25fps, especially at low to medium settings.
Gaming isn't my main hobby; I play in phases. Right now, I want to upgrade my setup for QHD gaming without breaking the bank. I've got a budget of around 1000 euros, but I might stretch it to 1500€ if I can get my wife's approval. I'm looking to play single-player titles like The Last of Us, Cyberpunk 2077, Hogwarts Legacy, and the new Indiana Jones game.
Given the current prices, especially with the RAM situation, would a pre-built PC be a better choice? Or should I wait and see if prices go down? I'm a bit anxious about potentially missing out on good deals if I procrastinate. What do you all think?

I've seen some decent deals on Kleinanzeigen lately. Sure, they aren't brand new, but new product prices are insane right now. Might be worth checking out!
If you're looking for a solid build, I recently nabbed a 9070 XT with a 7800 X3D for about 1600€. Prices can be tricky now with the RAM shortage, but you might find a good deal on a 9700 X and a 9060 XT setup for around 1500€. It's worth checking out pre-built options on sites like Idealo or asking in communities for build advice. Also, I recommend going with an AM4 socket to save some cash overall.
Here's a great suggestion for a budget setup. It costs significantly less than 1000€. [Check this out!](https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/s/b1cjEST6Im)
Consider how diverse your game library is. A few years back, I put together a PC with an AMD APU and enjoyed it for over a year playing older stuff. Make sure your PSU can handle your planned upgrades, too.

A server Xeon with DDR3 and a 2070 Super? Not sure that's going to cut it for new titles at QHD!
