Hey everyone! I've recently picked up four Nvidia Tesla C2050 GPUs and I'm looking for some guidance on building a setup that can handle all of them at once. Ideally, I want to keep it in a standard PC configuration, but I'm open to server-type cases if necessary. I need help finding a suitable case, motherboard, and power supply that can support these GPUs. Additionally, I'd love some recommendations on a CPU and how much RAM I should pair with these graphics cards. I read that I can connect them for running AI language models, which sounds like a great project to dive into as I learn more about this stuff!

Sounds like you snagged a great deal! To run all four of those Tesla cards, you'll definitely need a robust setup. Look into a workstation motherboard that supports multiple GPUs, probably something with an AMD Threadripper or Intel Xeon processor. Just be aware, those platforms can get pricey. If you're on a budget, you might want to check out more affordable options like used server cases that have enough PCIe slots and good airflow.
Yeah, I got them in an eBay lot, haha! I tested them out on a different rig, and they worked fine. But I don’t want to drop a ton of cash for a system when the GPUs were basically a steal. Any budget-friendly suggestions? Maybe a cheaper motherboard?
