Looking for Advice on Buying My First Gaming PC

Hey there, everyone! I'm super excited to jump into the gaming world, but I've got to admit I'm completely lost when it comes to gaming PCs. I'm looking to play games like Phasmophobia and Baldur's Gate, but I have no clue what type of setup I need or how it all works. I'd really appreciate any suggestions on where to start! Also, I know gaming PCs can be pretty pricey, so are second-hand options a good idea? Thanks a ton!

Welcome to the world of PC gaming! To help guide you, it would be great to know a few things: What's your budget? Do you already have peripherals like a monitor or keyboard? The monitor is especially important because it affects the gaming experience. Also, where are you located? That helps with picking the right stores or websites to buy from!

I currently don't have a strict budget since I know gaming PCs can be expensive, but I’d say anywhere from £700 to £1200. I don’t own a PC at all yet and I'm starting fresh. I'm based in the UK, so I guess that's relevant too. I've played on PCs before, but I really don’t know much about building or parts.
