I'm planning to build my first gaming PC with a budget of around $1500 to $1700. The most demanding games I might play are Elden Ring and Sekiro, but I'm okay with lowering graphics settings. Besides those, I primarily play Siege, CS2, and Roblox, and I'm interested in getting into Arc Raiders. My budget doesn't cover a monitor or other accessories since I already have those from my laptop. I'm leaning towards using a Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 32GB of Corsair RAM (hopefully, prices will drop soon), a 2TB SSD, and an RTX 5060. I'm not too familiar with choosing power supplies, motherboards, or CPU coolers. With about $500 left to spend, what do you think of my selections?

Your base list looks solid! The Ryzen 7 7800X3D with 32GB of RAM and a 2TB SSD is a fantastic setup. Just a heads up, the RTX 5060 might be a weak point at this price point—if you could afford to bump that to a 4070 Super or a 5070, you'd definitely see better performance. For the rest, a decent B650 motherboard, a 750W gold PSU, and a reliable air cooler should get you set.
I wouldn't recommend getting a high-end CPU like the Ryzen 7 7800X3D paired with a low-end GPU like the RTX 5060. That graphics card isn't great. Consider alternatives like the 9060XT 16GB or the 5060 Ti if you want something stronger.
Honestly, if you're willing to lower your graphics settings, the RTX 5060 will do just fine. I play with an RX 7600 8GB at 1080p and have no trouble maxing out most games. Don't overspend if you don't need to; you're on the right track by being flexible.
Check out Facebook Marketplace; I've seen some great deals there, especially for 5070s and 7800X3Ds. You might get lucky and find something within your budget that gives you a boost!

I disagree—while it might not be the absolute best, the 5060 card is sufficient for running games on lower settings. I've had no issues running modern titles with a similar GPU.
