Hey everyone! I'm super excited because I'm planning to upgrade my PC setup, and I want to share my build and get some advice. I'm moving from a Ryzen 5 5600X to a Ryzen 9 9800X3D, which is a massive jump for me! For the new setup, I'm using an MSI B650M GAMING PLUS WIFI motherboard, an ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III 240 cooler, a CORSAIR RM850x power supply, CORSAIR VENGEANCE DDR5 RAM (32GB), and a Fractal Design Pop Mini Silent case.

I've heard that it's best to install the CPU cooler on the bracket first before mounting it, but I'm curious if there's anything else I should know or if there are any parts you think I should consider changing out. Currently, I have a RTX 4060, but I plan on upgrading to a 5070 or 5080 in the future. Thanks in advance for your help!

I’d suggest waiting until you upgrade your GPU before doing these upgrades, especially since you’re a gamer. A better GPU will help maximize your performance. If you can, aim for something like a 5070 Ti or a 9070 XT!

Why do you feel that way? Just the CPU upgrade alone is going to significantly boost my performance, right? I mean, hitting over 600 fps in games like CS2 is going to be amazing!

It’s great that you have a plan! Upgrading the CPU is what you want, and you’ll eventually get that GPU too. Focus on what you want now!

Congrats on your upgrade! Definitely check the manual for the CPU cooler installation; it's super helpful. Water cooling can be a bit tricky at first but really worth it for the performance!

Thanks! I’ve never tried water cooling before, so I’m a bit nervous but excited!
