Hey everyone! I'm based in Germany and I'm planning to upgrade my PC. I've got all my peripherals sorted for now, so my current focus is on my system components. Here's what I'm working with:
- **Motherboard**: Asus Prime A320M-K (AMD A320)
- **GPU**: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 6GB (Palit Gaming)
- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 5 2500X (4x 3.6 GHz)
- **CPU Cooler**: Original AMD Wraith Stealth Cooler
- **RAM**: 16GB (2x8GB; brand unknown)
- **Power Supply**: XILENCE Performance C XP600 (600 Watts)
- **Case**: AGANDO Gaming Tower CM500 (looks cool!)
- **Storage**: 250GB SSD and 1TB HDD
I want to stick to a budget of 1000 Euros for the upgrade. I've checked out several PC configurators and chatted with friends, but we're not super knowledgeable. Here's my potential parts list:
- **Motherboard**: ASUS Prime H610M-A-CSM
- **GPU**: MSI GeForce RTX 5060 6GB
- **CPU**: Intel i5-14400F
- **CPU Cooler**: be quiet! Pure Rock 3 Silver
- **RAM**: 16GB (2x8GB Kingston or Corsair)
- **Power Supply**: 650W MSI MAG A650BN
- **Case**: CSL Ventrix
- **Wi-Fi Card**: PCIe with 300 Mbit/s
- **Storage**: 240GB SSD (Crucial BX500)
- **No HDD**
Also, my cousin works in IT and suggested I upgrade my old PC by adding 32GB of RAM, a new AM4+ processor, and an RTX 4050. But I'm confused because I thought the RTX 4050 is only for laptops? Is his advice valid or just a random tinkering idea? I really want to keep this simple!

I think your cousin might be a bit off here. There’s no actual AM4+ socket, and to my knowledge, there's no desktop version of the RTX 4050—it’s primarily found in laptops. For your build, I recommend using PC Part Picker to get everything organized. It can help avoid compatibility issues and you can check prices easily. Just make sure the parts you pick are compatible with each other!
Here's a link to an example build I put together on PC Part Picker: https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/y4Vr7w. Hope that helps!

Also, just a heads up, the RTX 5060 you mentioned is actually an 8GB GPU, so make sure that was what you intended to choose. Just double-check these specs!
