Looking for AI Tools to Help With Offboarding Users

I'm on the hunt for AI tools that can assist with user offboarding. Specifically, I'm looking for something that can automatically detect whether a user has an account on a particular app and then either deactivate or suspend their access. Any recommendations or tips would be greatly appreciated!

I think the key is to create a solid checklist for your offboarding processes. That way, you can even script the parts that make sense. Just make sure you have all your apps listed, otherwise it gets messy trying to manage when users leave!

I don’t see why you’d rely on AI for this process. It’s vital to have a documented process already in place for user offboarding instead of throwing AI at the task. A tailored script designed for this purpose is much more reliable.

Completely agree! If anything, AI might add more confusion. A script can be straightforward and efficient.

You might not even need AI for this! A good script can do the job without complicating things. Consider streamlining your authentication process; for example, using SSO can help reduce these issues down the line. Plus, automating the offboarding process could save you a lot of time. Just don’t forget to utilize a checklist for proper management!

That’s good advice! We do use SSO, but even with that, manually managing licenses and project transfers can be a pain. Any thoughts on how to automate that aspect too?

Honestly, I see no benefit in using AI for offboarding. You should have a complete list of all the systems where users have accounts along with a clear process for removing their access. Automating this through a script is way more efficient and reliable than relying on AI, which can be error-prone.

Totally agree with you. AI can complicate things unnecessarily when a simple script would work better.

We actually use a tool that’s branded as AI, but it’s really just a smart script that handles most of the offboarding tasks. It’s pretty effective for tracking app usage but doesn’t always handle licensing as smoothly as we’d like. Would be great to hear what tools others are using!

What tool specifically are you using? I'm looking for examples to explore.
