Looking for Alternatives to iCloud for Automatic iPhone Backups

I'm tired of paying for iCloud Plus. Although my backup is only about 20GB, that's still four times larger than the free limit offered by iCloud. While I can manually back up my iPhone by connecting it to my Mac, that's inconvenient. I came across iMazing, but I'm unsure about its value since it still requires a manual connection. I'm looking for software or services that can automatically back up my iPhone in the background, similar to iCloud, but without a subscription model. Are there any options out there?

I personally use iCloud for my contacts and messages, then I rely on Google Drive for photos. It isn't free, though, which I suspect is what you're hoping for. Not sure if a free alternative can do everything you want.

If you're looking for something automatic and seamless, iCloud is really the go-to. But yes, you can back up to your computer for free if you don't mind the manual step now and then.

Yeah, but that doesn't fit my busy schedule, unfortunately!

Your computer could actually handle backups for free if you set it up properly! Just make sure to connect to iTunes or Finder when you have a chance. It'll save you subscription costs.

Can’t you just spare $1 a month for 50GB of iCloud? Seems pretty reasonable for hassle-free backups! 😂

You can actually configure your Mac to back up your iPhone wirelessly whenever you’re charging your devices. It can be a good compromise if you don’t want to deal with the manual backup every time.
