Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my current AM4 setup, which includes a B450 Tomahawk motherboard, a Ryzen 3700X CPU, and 32GB of DDR4 RAM, paired with an AMD 6800 reference card. I really want to improve my GPU, but I know my CPU is holding me back too. I'm wondering if there are any alternatives to the 5700X3D that are easier to find and reasonably priced? I'd prefer not to switch to AM5 since it would mean overhauling my whole setup. I'm especially interested in options that could support upcoming titles like Battlefield 6 alongside a newer GPU. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I recently found a 5800X for around £130, which seems like a decent alternative without spending too much. If you can find it for a good price, go for it!
You're pretty much limited to the 5700X3D or the 5800X3D for a solid performance boost. The 5600X3D is an option as well, but it’s getting harder to find and climbs in price quickly. If you want a more attainable option, a regular 5700X could handle most mid-range GPUs pretty well without breaking the bank.
Is it really worth moving to AM5, or should I just stick with AM4 and pay the higher price for the 5700X3D? Also, what's the performance difference like between the regular 5700X and the X3D?
I'm also planning my last upgrade on the AM4 platform. I'm considering a Ryzen 7 5800X along with an RX 9070XT for better performance at 1440p gaming. Just trying to future-proof my setup for a couple of years.
What games are you eyeing? I’m worried about potential bottlenecks with the GPU, especially with the 5800X being somewhat slower these days.
Good recommendation, I might have to look into that!
