Looking for Asset Management Solutions That Integrate with Intune

Hey everyone! I'm a sysadmin for a charity and we're excited to have recently started integrating Microsoft 365. Currently, we're using Jira Insights/Assets for asset management, which is fine since it's free, but it requires a ton of manual updates because it doesn't integrate well with other tools. I'm on the lookout for reliable asset management solutions that can integrate with both Intune and Jamf. I've been considering Snipe-IT, though I'm not sure it supports Intune integration. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated, especially considering that cost is a major factor for us. Thanks!

Just a heads up, Microsoft has some great discounts for charities! You can score up to 10 Business Premium licenses and 300 Business Basic licenses for free. Definitely check out their nonprofit program to see what you can get!

What exactly are you updating in your asset management? If you can, look into syncing Jira and Jamf through their APIs. Writing a scheduled script or checking out a paid add-on can save you a lot of hassle. Just keep in mind, if you’re stuck on Jira Data Center (on-prem), your options for addons might be limited.

I looked into that, but since we’re on Jira Data Center, we've hit a wall with the addons—most seem to only work for the cloud version. Scripting might work but managing it sounds like a chore.

It really depends on how many assets you're managing. If it's a smaller number, something as simple as an Excel sheet or a SharePoint List can be your best bet without overspending. Once you start integrating with Intune, it can get complicated, especially with asset wipes and things Intune can't manage. Snipe-IT is solid, but it might not be that much different from what you're already doing with Jira.

Yeah, that makes sense. We're on the fence about scaling up our asset count, so maybe keeping it simple for now is the way to go.
