Looking for Beginner Git and GitHub Tutorial Recommendations

Hey everyone! I have a grasp on the basics of Git and GitHub, but I'm still not feeling too confident about using them. I recently watched a two-hour YouTube video that turned out to be quite advanced, involving Mac commands and it was also pretty outdated (around five years old). I'm hoping to find something that's more beginner-friendly and up to date. Any suggestions for good channels or videos that cover current versions?

Here’s a link you might find useful: [YouTube Git Tutorial](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UpsonO_vBNk)

The Odin Project has a great Git section that's beginner-friendly and frequently updated. I like their "learn by doing" approach. If you want, you can also search for Git crash courses on YouTube. The commands themselves haven't changed much; the GitHub interface is what might look different now.

Totally agree about The Odin Project, and check out freecodecamp.org too!

Honestly, the fundamentals of Git haven't changed in several years. It's more about quality than how recent the video is. The best way to get the hang of it is to dive in and start using it instead of just watching. You can set up a Git repo in about 15 minutes, then just start committing changes along the way. You'll soon face scenarios that require you to learn more, like using your repo on another computer or reverting changes if something goes wrong. That's when things get interesting!

Yep, that's the way to go!
