Looking for Better Alternatives to TeamViewer for Remote Management

I'm managing a small team that's responsible for deploying and supporting remote endpoints, and we have been using TeamViewer with a corporate license for years. However, our experience has been getting worse over time, particularly with configuring Easy Access and enforcing policies. We just spent two full days trying to enable unattended access for a group of machines with a custom host module, and it's become quite a nightmare. The Management Console is clunky, and there's confusion over policy precedence. Moreover, we have to sign in manually on each machine to enable Easy Access, which is completely counterproductive for mass deployment. With remote site deployments looming, I'm reaching out for suggestions. What remote desktop or unattended support solutions are you using that are secure, easy to manage, scalable, and have a user-friendly interface? We're ready to leave TeamViewer if a better option exists. Money is not an issue here. Thanks!

Check out Splashtop if you just need a remote access tool. If remote management is also on your radar, NinjaOne really stands out with great features and usability!

Nice, I switched to Splashtop after realizing I was paying too much for TeamViewer.

I would recommend BeyondTrust Remote Support. It's a solid solution that ticks all the boxes for security and management, and over time, self-hosting it can be cheaper than TeamViewer. I've switched years ago and would never go back.

Excited to see BeyondTrust in action! My PoC is set for the end of August.

Lol, we nearly fell over when we got their quote. They really know how to charge!

For remote management and access, NinjaOne is fantastic. It also comes with a bunch of integrated tools, including NinjaRemote. If you're specifically looking for unattended access, it works wonderfully well!

Realized I got the title wrong after posting—just put remote control and unattended access and it’s all good!

I've had a great experience with ScreenConnect (now called ConnectWise Control). It's reliable and easy to set up compared to TeamViewer. The cloud version especially has worked well for my needs, though I did notice some recent quirks that require a few extra steps to connect to clients sometimes. Still, they fix issues quickly, and overall, it’s way better than TeamViewer!

+1 for the cloud version! It's really smooth once you get used to it.

I tested ScreenConnect for a year, but my team didn't vibe with it as well. Just a heads-up.

Have you considered RustDesk? It's a free and open-source solution that allows you to either use their public server or set up your own if you’re concerned about security. The UI is simple and reminiscent of TeamViewer but much easier to navigate, in my opinion. I've found it to be quite reliable even with accessibility tools.

Totally! RustDesk has been reliable for me too, very happy with its performance.

I appreciate the recommendation, thanks!
